Our Vision for the NoCo Therapist Summit

The NoCo Therapist Summit is committed to:

  • Fostering connection and collaboration among mental health professionals in Northern Colorado

  • Creating a supportive professional community where therapists can learn from one another and build meaningful referral networks

  • Encouraging a culture of collaboration over competition, with a shared commitment to high-quality client care

  • Providing high-quality, accessible continuing education on a wide range of clinical topics, populations, and therapeutic approaches

  • Highlighting diverse perspectives and areas of expertise within our local community

  • Supporting ongoing professional growth and development for therapists at all stages of their careers

Please note: At least one presenter per submission must hold a master’s degree or higher to meet requirements for continuing education (CE) eligibility.

All proposals will be reviewed through a blind review process. To keep the submission process simple, we are currently requesting a presentation abstract only. Additional materials (e.g., learning objectives, presenter bio, and CE-related information) will be requested if your proposal is selected.

Presentation Expectations:

  • Presentations should focus on providing educational, evidence-based, and clinically relevant content for mental health professionals.

  • Sessions are not to be used for direct promotion or sales of specific services, programs, or organizations.

  • If a presenter is affiliated with a sponsoring organization, any promotion must be limited to designated sponsorship opportunities outside of the presentation itself.

  • We welcome a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to): Therapeutic modalities and approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, somatic therapies, IFS, EMDR); Trauma-informed care and complex clinical presentations; Work with specific populations (e.g., neurodivergent clients, LGBTQ+ communities, perinatal, adolescents, couples/families); Specialized areas of practice (e.g., eating disorders, substance use, grief, chronic illness); Professional development (e.g., ethics, burnout, private practice, self-of-the-therapist work)

Event Format & Audience:

The NoCo Therapist Summit will feature a range of session lengths (e.g., 60–90 minutes). Sessions may include didactic presentations, interactive workshops, or skill-based learning opportunities.

Our audience will include therapists and mental health professionals across disciplines and experience levels, with many attendees practicing in Northern Colorado. Presenters are encouraged to tailor content that is accessible, practical, and applicable across a variety of clinical settings.
